I'm really glad I took literature. I can't imagine how it would have been if I took up other courses, even though I am interested in politics, civilization and history. But of course, since after PMR I have always imagined myself taking up something like this, relating to English somehow other. LITERATURE is so vast that it cannot be defined simply and accurately. Through studying literature, I have learnt about politics, cultures, history, psychology and sociology. These terms themselves are wide in definition as literature. I have learnt how to read a fiction critically after a year of studying literature. Alhamdulillah. Though I can't say I have been a good student cos I have other things that keep me busy too, but learning about these things are always fun and eye opening. I enjoy studying postcolonialism. Now I look at the European and American in a different light.
Tomorrow we are required to go for an acting audition for Shakesphere's A Midsummer's Night's Dream. Hrm.

Though we didn't study literature in depth, I still enjoyed what I'd learned and loved and still love it. Language is just so fascinating, and even more so when used well. I rather miss acting- since I went to an all-ladies college, we had a lot of fun at it because it was easier to act and have fun on stage without having to do so in front of male friends :)
Wa, Found a book on the floor in your room (still in a mess..)JD Salinger's The catcher in the rye, must be yours. Have you finished reading it? Just read the first 6 pages, must have been nicely written otherwise I would not read that much.
Sumaiyah: :) Great to do all that in a all-ladies place.
Ayahhh.. Need you mention about my room's state? Someone messed it up because I am away. Of course I have finished reading it, that was last semester's novel. Hehe
